Antcher Isaac, was a Jewish painter born in Russian in 1899.
After World War I, he came to Paris and studied (1909) at the Beaux Arts. His teachers were Cézanne and Pissaro!
His style from the first years showed the sadness of the East European exiled painters. He was one of the members of the now famous Ecole de Paris.
His painting was always very much in demand and he showed it at all the main salons in Paris, Jerusalem, Brussels and New York. He was recently re-discovered and the value of his art increases every year.
