Was born in Lodz, Poland 1891. He studied in Munich and came to Paris before WWI. He was a member of the "School of Paris" stream and his friends were Modigliani and Soutine. His first exhibition was in Paris, on 1914. This exhibition had bought him international reputation. The protruding motif in his works was Nature: Landscapes, villagers in their work. His work is associated with the tradition of Pissarro that he adapted and on which he added his colorful, Cubist & Fubist Style. Henryke Epstein was murdered, on 1944, by the Nazis in Auschwitz.
