Zvi Meirowitch, Painter. b. 1911, Poland. Immigrated 1934. Studies: 1929-34 Academy, Berlin, with Karl Hoffer. Prize: 1950-51 Dizengoff Prize. Lived in Haifa, painting posters for cinemas. 1948 A founder of the New Horizons Group. Died 1974. (The Israel Museum in Jerusalem Web Site) Was one of the most transcendentalists of Israel’s abstract painters.
