Born 1954, Chicago, Illinois-USA
BA in psychology and in art from Cal Western University, San Diego, California.
Further art studies in "Hamidrasha" Art School in Ramat Hasharon.
Grew up in the US and Israel. Resided also in Mexico and London.
Exhibited paintings in galleries in Mexico.
Paints and designs jewelry.

This exhibition, the subject of which is fields, nature, the blooming of flowers, deals mostly with the drama that lies underneath the pastoral surface, from a unique and uncommon point of view. "The same cycles as in nature I find in my own life, and this has been my inspiration for the exhibition". Galia Zamir studied fine arts at the University of California, followed by studies at Hamidrasha art school in Ramat-Hasharon.
Throughout her life she never ceased painting and creating art, and now she returns to exhibit with an exhibition, the subject of which is blooming. Landscapes and flowers have always been a popular subject of art work, for Zamir these subjects are only a trigger for
balance and color in these paintings, which fluctuate on the border between the realistic and the expressionist, and reveal the fragile nature of this boundary. |
