Very rare poster from the Herut (left) party, refering to the "liberation" of the Country from the English Army.
This poster was published by the EZEL organization in 1948- right after the establishment of Israel.
That Period was terribly intense: many new people came to Israel, the Independence war was happening, and all the political parties wanted to recruit as many supporters as they could.
For that purpose, the competitors had published propaganda posters, emphasizing their contribution and efforts to the establishment of Israel.
The publisher of this poster is the He’Rut Party. Its members were part of the “Ezel” organization. The poster tells how the “Ezel” organization had chased the British governors out of Israel. |
